    Creating Harmony Through Mindfulness
This modified program is appropriate for those who are chronically ill, limited in mobility, injured and/or post-operative. Practice yoga and receive assistance in modifying your movement with the use of props to both support and challenge your flexibility. Class size is kept small to allow personal attention to be given to each student.
This journey will encourage students to explore practices of mindfulness through breath, mind and body. Mindfulness is having the ability to be as present as possible to what “is,” in the spirit of acceptance… Acceptance allows us to be at peace with whatever we are experiencing in the present moment – holding these experiences in a loving and compassionate way, knowing that life is continually changing. While we develop mindfulness and foster acceptance of what “is,” we can delight in our innate ability to adapt – physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually – to the changing circumstances of our lives. As we deepen in mindfulness and acceptance, what arises is a sense of harmony and peace with all that life brings us, and a desire and intent to continue to evolve and grow toward deeper fulfillment, health and well-being.
During the series, students will learn: Yogic breathing techniques for balance and pain management; ways to move with more ease; various mindfulness meditation techniques.
